Artists who appeared at the 25th Bungendore Country Muster in alphabetical order were....                                       

Melissa Bajric...Multi award-winning singer/songwriter Melissa Bajric has carved her mark in Australian Country Music. At just 16 years of age she stepped into the studio to work with Golden Guitar winning producer Lindsay Butler and released her debut album on the Drover Music label. Ten years later and with three successful albums under her belt, the petite singer has produced a number of international top 10 songs, several video clips that have hit CMC's top 50, numerous industry awards including Recording Artist Of the Year, a placement on the Wall Of Honour, and a coveted TSA songwriting award.

Owen Blundell... Singer, Songwriter, Comedian, Yodeller, Award Winner. Who could ask for more?  Owen Blundell is quick witted, unpredictable, and energetic.   If you have never seen Owen, you are missing out on a truly talented entertainer. Owen is part of the fixture and fitting of Bungendore and has entertained the crowd at every one of the 24 musters to date and will sure to please at our 25th.


Charley Boyter... Charley has played guitar for many years and backed just about anyone who has been on a “Country Stage” In 1990, was invited to join the "Legends Of Guitar" with
Barry Thornton and Lindsay Butler. Charlie and his band have been be a part of the muster for over 20 years and it is no surprise they will be at Bungendore in 2010 to help celebrate 25 years.



Lindsay Butler OAM... is the greatest Australian country guitar player of his generation.  His smooth style has featured on thousands of recordings throughout his career and his albums have inspired hundreds of young pickers around the nation.  The Lindsay Butler ‘sound’ is the most recognisable and sought after style of his era with clear, clean picking that his fans and enthusiasts have come to easily recognise.  The multi-golden guitar winning instrumentalist has also been elevated to the Roll of Renown, The Wall of Honour and awarded the Order of Australia Medal for services to the Country Music Industry.  Lindsay Butler is without a doubt one of our living legends.

Ernie Constance…spent twenty five years as a shearer in conjunction with his farm and music career.  Ernie has a great love for his family, his land and his country which is evidenced in his songwriting. He has had many songs recorded by major artists including sixteen by Slim Dusty and regularly appears at Festivals and Clubs throughout the eastern States. Ernie’s current album Milestones was produced by Stuie French at his Swingin Door Studio in Sydney.  Ernie believes Stuie’s superb production and great instrumentation have made it his best yet.


Laura Downing...In 1988 Laura released her first EP titled “Her Little Miracle”, six albums later she is still going strong. With countless awards both nationally and internationally Laura brings her own style of contemporary country ballads, bush ballads, award winning yodelling all wrapped up with great comedy and good fun for everyone.


Bob Easter...Born and bred a Hunter Valley lad, Bob epitomises the heart and spirit of Australian country. In the year 2000 Bob recorded his first Bush Ballad album on the Drover Music label. Now with a 30 year career behind him, countless industry awards including a place on the Wall Of Honour, and with three Lindsay Butler produced albums in hand; Bob continues to travel throughout Australia performing his traditional style of country music. To quote master producer Lindsay Butler "Bob's country is pure bush ballad, and no one does the songs of Slim, Coster, Lawson and Co better than he."

Ted Egan... has been writing and recording songs since 1969, and has produced 28 albums. He appears regularly at both folk and country music festivals. Ted is featured in the Hands of Fame and the Roll of Renown at the Tamworth Australian Country Music Centre, and was the inaugural recipient of the Australian Folk Trust Award for Major Contribution to the Australian Tradition.



Terry Gordon... Terry’s versatility as a balladeer, songwriter, bush poet, comedy performer and TV host has established Terry as one of CM's finest entertainers. In 1995, Terry was named Queensland Entertainer of the Year, and in 1981 was inducted into the Tamworth Hands of Fame. In 2005 Terry received an OAM for services to the entertainment industry. Terry is part of Bungendore having performed and compared at every Muster to date and as he would say “Just try to stop me coming down to Bungendore”.


Bec Hance... Bec, originally from Lang Lang, Victoria, now from Emerald in QLD, is one of the new generations of Australian singer/songwriters, who in 2009 was a CMAA College of Country Music Graduate, Toyota Star Maker Grand Finalist and A.B.B.A. Star Quest Finalist. She was also a finalist in Best New Talent and the Comedy/Novelty section at the Bungendore Muster in 2009. Combining her strong vocals and heartfelt delivery, the release of her album “The Tranquillity” in 2009, shows Bec as an exciting and fresh country music talent.

Keith Jamieson/Alisha Smith and Caitlyn Jane...Proud Australian Bush Balladeers. Keith and Alisha have been involved with Bungendore Country Muster for quite a few years. Keith was at our second ever muster at the rodeo grounds and both Keith and Alisha have been involved with the Judging of the Busking for several years, and helping out wherever they can. Although there has been a new addition to the family with the birth of daughter Caitlyn Jane three years ago this has not stopped Keith and Alisha touring Australia by road, following in the footsteps of our Pioneers, they hope to be involved with Bungendore Muster for many years to come.

Pixie Jenkins... Pixie is the greatest fiddle player Australia has produced.  He’s also one of our most treasured country music talents and has one of the most sort after one-man shows down-under. He has successfully melded Australian Country Music and the finer traditions of Cabaret and Music Theatre to forge a 30-year career with more highs than lows.






Johnny Kaye...born in Cairns, Johnny grew up in the small country town of Mungallala in Western Queensland, where he taught himself guitar. He has toured extensively throughout Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria and has performed with many top line entertainers as a guitarist. Having been known in his career as a bush Ballard guitarist with his own unique style and sound, Johnny adds another string to his bow as a singer / song writer winning many awards.

Shaza Leigh... is one of the most gifted performers in Australia ; vocalist, songwriter and musician.  She is indeed a very rare talent.  Her vocal strength and control is outstanding and her songs are extremely insightful and relevant. These days, there’s an overall maturity in her performance resulting from over 20 years as a touring and recording artist.  Shaza has enjoyed a career full of awards and accolades and a string of continuous hits plus inductions onto The Womens Wall of Fame, The Hands of Fame and The Wall of Honour. Shaza Leigh has carved a career within the Australian Country Music Industry that has elevated her to be amongst the best female singer/songwriters in the country.

Brian Letton... In 1989, Brian began his professional career as a full time entertainer, after a decade working as a part time musician with various local bands.  Brian writes and sings of his country and his fellow man with a rare feeling.  He writes of the things he knows, understands, loves and believes in.  Overall Brian is the most successful Stan Coster Memorial Bush Ballad winner with 12 Awards to his credit. Brian is a favorite at Bungendore and always has the crowd on their feet waving the Australian flag for the finale song “You did us proud”.

Dianne Lindsay...daughter of country music greats, Reg Lindsay and Heather McKean, has always had a burning desire to entertain and now with her family mainly grown-up, she has the chance to follow her dreams and is certainly doing that in a big way. Over the past year Dianne has travelled extensively interstate to take part in country music festivals. With many local shows and guest spots throughout the Hunter Valley and Sydney area, Dianne has had the opportunity to take her own fresh style of music to many people and is proving very popular.

Chad Morgan...An Australia comedic singer/guitarist renowned for his vaudeville style of comic country songs, his prominent teeth and goofy stage persona. Chad Morgan is one of the last pioneers of Australian Country Music, and still very active, touring Australia bringing his comical songs to fans of three generations. He is a master of audience control and remains one of the biggest draw cards in the history of Australian Country Music.



Doug McIntyre...winner of the Rising Australian Male Artist of the year in the 2009 Southern Star Independent Country Artist Awards, Doug loves to perform his Australian Country Music to the Australian audience for whom he writes. His songs are refreshingly unique yet familiar, proudly about this country, mindful of the past yet anchored in the present. He is fast gaining a reputation as a Contemporary Australian Country Artist, and great chronicler of life in the bush. His performances often evoke an emotional response from young and old.


Tom McIvor...Born in 1948 the son of legendary lightweight boxer Tommy McIvor senior 114 pro fights for 104 wins left a big set of shoes to fill. Young Tom was not encouraged to box (Too Dangerous) imagine his mum and dads response when they found out after two years that their little darling had been  working  5 events on the local Rodeo Circuit. Though no titles came Tom’s way, he was known and respected as a fearless competitor in the Bull Riding Contests for no less than 20 years on the Pro Rodeo circuit. When Tom stopped bouncing (as he puts it) at age 34, his love of country music instilled in him by his beloved dad began to manifest itself in the form of songs written about his adored sport of Rodeo.

Dean Perrett… is without a doubt one of the leading artists on Australia’s traditional country music scene with a recognizable style of his own.  Dean has matured into one of Australia’s best Bush Ballad singer songwriters over the course of the past 20 years since he recorded his first album Australia She’s Mine.  Dean’s music is very genuine and his music comes straight from the land where he works.  Dean is one of the very few true Bush Balladeers.  Dean has been richly rewarded for his talents including 3 Album of the Year awards at the Stan Coster Memorial Bush Ballad Awards. Dean’s current album “A Thousand Campfires” has continued to go from success to success.
