Our 25th Muster was a memorable celebration with campers experiencing dust to torrential rainfall but we were lucky to have fantastic weather for the festival.
We would like to thank everybody who contributed to another successful Muster. Volunteers, artists and patrons, who all made this event possible.
We look forward to seeing you in 2011.
Muster Beginnings
When Jim Snow opened the first Bungendore Country Muster in 1986 he predicted a great future for the festival and he got it right. The Bungendore Country Muster has continued and in 2006 celebrated its 21st birthday and each year it continues to go from strength to strength.
The Muster is unique in that it is the only “all Australian” country music festival in Australia and has a core policy of existing for the betterment and benefit of the Bungendore community and Australian country music. All money raised during the festival goes to the local community and on improving the facilities for patrons.
The festival is held at the local show ground and over the years the Muster Committee has made improvements with the building of a permanent stage, water tanks and in 2007 assisted with the local community in the installation of an 8 cubicle shower block. With the patrons enjoying the atmosphere of staying at the showgrounds this was a much needed improvement.
